Cold and creamy

I am one of the last American women who uses cold cream. The store didn't have Pond's, so I bought Suave. I don't care. It's cold cream for chrissake.

I'm not going to tell you what I do with it. Me and the other seven women who still use cold cream are going to stay all mysterious about our cold cream secrets. We think it makes us sexy in a Playtex-18-Hour-Cross-Your-Heart bra kind of way.

For more important historical information about cold cream and how it defies radioactive dirt, I invite my readers to view this concise and entertaining footage:

OH MY GOD! Just radioactive enough is I believe too much for me. There might be 9 users of cold cream, but the other one isn't me, I promise...;)

I had no idea there were so few of us left. Glad to know I'm removing all traces of radioactive particles nightly.

Aw c'mon! What's a little radioactivity? Maybe it even killed off any bacteria on her face that would've otherwise caused an unsightly blemish! Isn't that worth it?

I liked the nightgown, reminded me of a 1930 vampire flick. Full makeup too getting ready for bed, wonder how many women put on makeup to take a romp?

I'm off to buy some of that stuff right now. Useful for clean pores and nuclear bunkers. Great!

Can't say I use it [cold cream] - but I learnt long ago never to comment or ask about the lotions and potions which reside in a lady's bathroom cabinet! They be sacrosanct ;-)

Why get rid of radioactive particles? Doesn't every woman want a radiant complexion?

I wonder if Dorothy Gray will send me that booklet if I write to that address.

Over the last few years I've done some community theater - and thought it was ridiculous how hard it was to find cold cream to get make-up off.

Thinking back, it did make me feel a little sexy...

But you're not going to share the mysterious secrets of why coald cream does that? Will I always have to feel like I danced on the edge and didn't know it?

It's a "guys won't get it" think, isn't it?

Cold cream reminds me of my grandmother. She watched me while my mother worked and she would often draw freckles on my face with an eyeliner. Knowing my mother would be upset by this, she'd destroy the evidence with Ponds Cold Cream before my mother arrived to pick me up. The clean, lemony scent still brings me back to my childhood.

I guess you and I and the other 7 are the only women left who use cold cream- (so now we're up to a whopping 9) however, there's got to be some mighty smooth and cleaned pored transexuals out there or something- because every time I go to buy Ponds- gone!

So I bought CVS brand. It's even better. But I did care. I'm very brand loyal like that.
