Sometimes you turn on the box and start surfing channels and you come upon a televangelist asking for money. Sometimes he starts talking about souls and how much money he needs to save the next 10 or 100 or however many souls that are up in heaven waiting to pass through the pearly gates.
That's when you start thinking about a little old lady on a fixed income whose watching the same idiot, but she's not thinking he's an idiot. She's 87 years old and she's worried one of the souls waiting by the pearly gates might be hers any day now so she goes and writes the idiot a check.
That torques the hell out of me.
Sarah Palin manipulated her followers in the exact same way. Her donation solicitations hinted that maybe a few more bucks will convince the Savior to run for POTUS; that your donation just might push Sarah over the tipping point!
Uh-huh.
I wonder if any of Palin's contributors are torqued? Particularly since Bristol Palin said her mother had made her decision back in June, but then she solicited donations and played the will she/won't she game for another three and a half months. I wonder how many of Palin's supporters will run to the checkbook for the 2016 or 2020 race when she starts slowly swiveling her hips.
For the faithful, why wait? It's still not too late to make your donation to SarahPAC!

Any thinking person would have known she did not want to be POTUS or she would have announced it much earlier...
Nicely edited clip, Erin. Swindler. Yes, that's an exactly correct label for this snowbilly grifter.
That said, she's the perfect American candidate for our times. She's telegenic, thin skinned, vapid and she has little to no sense of self awareness.
George Bush in a push-up bra.
I didn't post or edit the clip, but I do love it. It says something about her. Not sure what, but there's an unmistakeable vibe going on.
Many think Palin's got a long political life ahead of her. I disagree. I think she's cooked. The one's she disappointed most are the one's who loved her best. She'd have to rally a whole new following to become electable.
Maybe she will. What the hell do I know?

Welcome anon and thank you for that fascinating insight.
Dearest Bill, what the bejesus is your point?
Erin: The song just popped into my head. I was hoping she would start breating heavier and take off her glasses.
AHA! The song, the vid, Palin's breathing. I get it now.
Must be the cold getting to me, being out here on the ice floe and all.
A fool and his money...wjm
BTW, can't watch that whole video--too creepy.
@Erin...watch out on the ice floe for hungry, near-drowned polar bears who aren't nearly drowning from non-existent ice shelf loss due to non-existent global warming.
My favorite contribution from SarahPac was the funding of Palin's 'educational' jaunts, in a tour bus wrapped in an image of the constitution as interpreted by a team anchored by the finest artists from Harlequin books and Frederick's of Hollywood, finished off with a genuine authentic simulated artificial replica of Herself's autograph...
Of course, the family vaca...errr the 'educational tour was scheduled WELL in advance, and it was STRICTLY coincidental that so many of the tour stops were in early primary states...
As to your supposition about 2016 or 2020, she'll be lucky to have a paying gig in BBC porn...
MR
Don't worry Erin. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven. I attended a mass this morning and sort of in a biblical mood.
MR: Your last comment is almost deletable. Watcha think, Erin?
Why yes William, that's quite enough from MR!
MR, as punishment, you are to join me directly here on the ice floe!
I'll help with your spiritual development Bill.
Acts 4:32-35
32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.
Saw a quote the other day attributed to Ghandi but I haven't vetted it so read at your own risk.
"The only people that don't seem to understand Jesus ministry as non-violent are Christians."
RJ
JESUS CHRIST!
RJ, And, as the law of the land allowed, the apostles kept a nice chunk of the money for themselves, as a distribution fee. Amen and Amen.
I'm confused. Of course they kept it, it was gifted. Scripture reference please re: laws and distribution fees.
RJ
P.S.
Matthew 5:20 (From the Sermon on the Mount)
"For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."
I like it when Conservatives invoke Christian doctrine. I shared an office for 6 years with the daughter of an Independent Baptist Minister.
RJ
@Bill...seems like you're the only one here willing to admit to knowing what BBC porn is...those public broadcasters in the United Kingdom ARE shameful, aren't they?
As far as running to the teacher and telling stories out of class, those kids always wound up looking a little worse for the wear by the end of the school year...
MR
Erin...
I'll be there as soon as I can find the floe chart...
MR
As an aside and a regional bit of info. The significance of making reference to Independent Baptist, among other things, is that until just recently down here in the confederacy the I.B.'s thought the Southern Baptist Convention was a bunch of godless liberals.
RJ
Hey RJ, please tell me that the children of white wealthy people are happily lining up to mow everyone's lawn down there in the wake of the "toughest-in-the-nation" immigration law.
MR: Admittedly, I had to google bbc porn, but had a suspicion, that, because of recent alligations about Palin, you were not talking about the british broadcasting company. Now, I must delete my search history, much as Erin should have deleted your comment.
Not before they pick tomatoes on Chandler Mountain in Alabama. Not.
(As Lewis Black would say "Google it!)
RJ
Erin: Regarding lawn mowing. I might have mentioned this before but, my grandfather used to have a lawn mowing route that he did on weekends to help make ends meet. I too, as a kid, used to mow lawns. Just pointing out that, although Mexicans are doing most of that work now, it is definitely a job that white people can learn and make some extra money. Afterall, it's good to have some cash in your pocket when attending the "occupy something" parties. I understand the food vendors charge like 9 bucks for a sandwich.

Tennessee Guns-In-Bars Law Sponsor Arrested For DUI...With A Gun
10/12/10
Rep. Curry Todd (R) was pulled over around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the local Fox affiliate. Todd allegedly failed a roadside sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer test, the Associated Press reports. The gun -- a Smith & Wesson 38 Special -- was holstered next to the driver's seat and loaded.
According to the police affidavit, Todd was "very unsteady on his feet, almost falling down at times. ... His speech was slurred, his eyes were red, watery and bloodshot. ... The subject was obviously very impaired and not in any condition to be carrying a gun."
RJ
P.S. That link to the tomato story was from the Neshoba Democrat from Neshoba County Mississippi home of Philadelphia, MS featured in "Mississipi Burning."
This is the Rick Perry constituency.
Erin-What do you and Bill have against the British Broadcasting Corporation? I'm very, very puzzled...WAIT!! WHAT?!!...surely you didn't think I meant...Ahh, NO!...why would anybody say something like that about a nice housewife like Mrs Palin? Who has questioned the ancestry, citizenship, religion and patriotism of the President of the United States...hell,she's DRIPPING in crass...I think BBC was rather understated considering what she's contributed to the degradation of political discourse in this country.
MR
Isn't the very first goddamn thing out of the mouths of the gun guys, "alcohol and gun powder don't mix?"
Hm ....
Iffin' you visit though, RJ, don't worry. Ya'll feel right at home here in OH-HI. It's plenty legal to brang yer guns inta our saloons too!
And Mike, I am 100 percent serious when I say that I read your first BBC as "British Broadcasting Corp." because we all know how much the Brits love to dish on US tabloid politics. Hence bbc porn made perfect sense to me. It wasn't until Sir William started making such a fuss that I googled it and found it could have, well, another meaning.
@RJ-You're probably aware of this already, but for the edification of others: In Tyler Perry's House of Payne...errrr, Rick Perry's State of Texas, one can use a state-issued concealed carry permit as ID to vote, but not a state-issued student ID.
That's pretty crass.
MR
Even hearing her breath annoys me.
Erin, if anyone is truly concerned about their hard drives being sullied, give them my e-mail, and I'll be over in a jiffy with Clorox and Brillo pads to scrub 'em back to a new-car-smell cleany sheen...
MR
ps-would BBW MILF have been more acceptable to anyone's genteel sensibilities?...I'll use that next time...
@RJ-You've probably also heard this example of Republican inclusiveness in action, but pour les autres: An African-American octogenarian widow in Tennessee, a native of your own Alabama, who has voted in every presidential election save once since she was of voting age, even throughout Jim Crow and the Civil Rights struggles of the 60s, is being denied a voter ID by the state of Tennessee under their new Republican-backed ID requirements because she can't produce a marriage certificate.
That's pretty crass...
MR
@MR
That was a HUGE story here a week or so ago. It's my understanding she was allowed to vote absentee or something like that didn't require an ID.
RJ
Diane Vogel Ferri: If you ask yourself "why does the sound of a person breathing, annoy me", what do you get for an answer?
MR: the old lady not being able to vote because of no pic ID is an old one. Al Sharpton has been milking that one for a week but, when she told him, on camera, that she was allowed to vote absentee, he totally ignored it. You can get some current headlines from Drudge.
RJ, were you anon in the fifth comment in this thread? If so, I didn't realize it.

wv: roginge-a hair restoration product for especially mangy scalps...
Bill, thanks for the advice about Drudge, but I've got a bad back and I can't stoop that low.
Although the particular case may have been resolved, the overarching problem remains: Republicans have, in states where they gained one-party rule in the 2010 elections, have proposed or passed numerous provisions whose only purpose can be the suppression of turnout among demographic groups that tend to vote Democrat.
Please, don't give me any voter fraud arguments: if voter fraud weren't only slightly less likely to happen than a chimpanzee landing a 747 safely, don't you know that Fox News would be running the stories OVER AND OVER AND OVER in an endless loop, 24-7. Rupert Murdoch might even reach out to the same people he bribed....errrr, consulted to get his citizenship fast-tracked so that he could get access to a dedicated channel for it.

Reviewing the thread it has become apparent to me that at least one commentor was offended by something that he (or she-don't want to single anyone out-plausible deniability)construed as offensive based upon something that he (or she)chose to accept as a definition for an acronym found on google.
In the interest of ensuring that no one else inadvertently becomes offended by any acronyms he (or she)finds on the googlywebs, I have done some research on acronyms
that may cause offense, so as to prevent the need for the cleansing of hard drives by Clorox and Brillo pads as mentioned in a post above.

Don't make fun of them moonies. They got their own newspaper- The Washington Times.

This comment thread is oddly masturbatory.
I used to be a MILF. I don't think you can be a MILF at the advanced age of 46. I think MILFhood tops out at about 42.
I guess the next square for me is granny porn. help.
OMG, must confess total ignorance re. MILF. Don't know what that is. How embarrassing. Something to do with not yet being 46?
But there is perhaps a certain immunity to the alleged sexual appeal of SP that sets in for the truly agéd.
In this respect it might be posited that she passed her peak (or "spike"?) of pseudo hotness c. three years ago. Her Most Intensely Laughable Flammable (MILF) moment, perhaps, her congenial foray into
phone sex with the Pseudo-Nicolas Sarkozy.
For those born after 2008, a quick refresher excerpt:
Pseudo-Sarkozy: You see, I got elected in France because I’m real and you seem to be someone who’s real as well.
Palin: Yes, yeah, Nicolas, we so appreciate this opportunity.
Pseudo-Sarkozy: You know, I see you as a president, one day, you too.
Palin: [laugh] Maybe in 8 years.
Pseudo-Sarkozy: Well, ah, I hope for you. You know we have a lot in common because personally one of my favorite activities is to hunt too.
Palin: [giggle] Oh very good, we should go hunting together.
Pseudo-Sarkozy: Exactly! We could go try hunting by helicopter, like you did, I never did that.
Palin: [giggle]
Pseudo-Sarkozy: Like we say in France, "on pourrait tuer des bébés phoques aussi".
Palin: [giggle] Well I think we could have a lot of fun together as we’re getting work done, we can kill two birds with one stone that way.
Pseudo-Sarkozy: I just love killing those animals. Mm, mm. Take away a life, that is so fun!
Palin: [hahahaha]
Pseudo-Sarkozy: I’d really love to go as long as we don’t bring your Vice President Cheney! [hahahaha]
Palin: No, I’ll be a careful shot, yes.

I don't think age is the limiting factor of MILF. I think the L to F is most important.

It is fascinating how liberals continue to be afraid of Sarah even after she announces she isn't going to run for POTUS.
I'm disappointed, because I know for a fact that she would blow the Kenyan Marxist homosexual right out of the White House, thus ending his illegal occupation (both his parents were not US citizens, therefore he is not natural born), and watching getting liberals destroyed is one of my hobbies.
Enter Herman Cain - 50 state sweep baby!

I still don't get the hatred for Palin. Seriously!
Would you rather we directed our hatred at you instead of Palin Bill? That could probably be arranged.
MILF on a Floe. Where's Russ Meyer when you need him. Probably a bar somewhere.
RJ
RJ: That would, also, be misplaced hatred. But, in reality, I would probably care about as much as she does.
Nobody hates anybody here. We're liberals, remember? Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair? Tie-dye? Ben & Jerry's?
I don't hate Palin, Bill. Never did. I just don't want her in my government. I was going to say Alaska can have her, but it seems even they don't want her anymore.
You want to talk hate? Why do righties hate Hilary Clinton?
People could and have written essays on the "Palin Phenomena." In this short comment section I would opine that her appeal is a type of populist "person of the people" appeal with "traditional" values of Faith, Country, Family- a kind of national piety. fair enough. But as more becomes known it becomes clear this person is politically unsophisticated with rather medieval beliefs. I mean as a non-believer I think communion is pretty odd what with drinking blood and eating flesh but it's possible to view that as symbolic. This is a woman who participated with an exorcist flown in from Africa to undo the evil of witches. And I think people begin to become incredulous and think how in the hell is it possible this person could be considered for one of the most complex jobs in the world. But Mrs. Pailin, having been bestowed with legitimacy, sets about acting like she IS some sort of exceptional being. For me it's not hate but it's just fucking annoying. It's a cultural phenomena I could do without. And I think many people think "enough already" please leave. Like the old proverb "Guests and Fish begin to smell after 3 days."
I suspect the biggest beneficiary of "the Palin Phenomena" is Mrs. Palin herself. Not monetarily but intellectually. I doubt she could have won a debate with a decent advanced placement high school student about American and Constitutional History when she first arrived on the scene but now she has educated herself. Good for her. But still... a serious presidential contender? Put some salve on that wound and make it go away.
RJ
@RJ...a slight quibble...when people of faith take communion, after the priest or pastor has said the words of institution, the host and the wine BECOME the Body and the Blood-there's nothing symbolic in my mind when I take the sacrament...
As far as 'hating' Palin, that's also a strong word for a person of faith. I will freely admit that i absolutely despise her for the cynicism and opportunism she has brought to what serves as political discourse from the right side of the political spectrum. This entire experience for her has been the most transparent of scams or schemes from the moment she resigned the Governorship of Alaska. To paraphrase the great Hunter s. Thompson, speaking of Richard Nixon, she proved herself to be a "cheapjack hustler with a keen eye for the main chance".
The entire charade of her bus tour, just conveniently timed to land in early primary states at or about the same times as major events such as the Iowa straw poll or Mr. Romney's official announcement, was the epitome of narcissistic personality disorder.
MR
BTW, some of her comments DURING the bus tour, such as turning Paul Revere's ride into an NRA promo, belie your assumption that she's educated herself...IMHO...
@Erin-genius comment...not just Hilary, either...Rash Limbo used to make fun of CHELSEA's appearance...talk about "at long last, sir, have you no sense of decency?"(the late great American Joseph Welch, to Senator McCarthy, in 1954)...
MR
My apologies if I was dismissive of you, other people of faith and the rituals involved in their encounters with the numinous. I have great respect for the devotion involved. I think I was trying to give an example of how SP might be different in an unfortunate way from "mainstream" believers.
As for her education I suspect she has learned from her experience. But like mine, her quest for knowledge is incomplete.
RJ
I certainly took no offense RJ, and if anything wanted to comment for the edification of others as well as yourself...
Now...@ Bill, @11:56, we don't agree often, and I'm not asking this so as to take a shot: several of us have commented, some at length, about Mrs.Palin, in the way if i may generalize that we feel she has been a boil on the body politic. What do her supporters and, as it were, apologists, see in her that would lead one to believe she should be entrusted with high public office, up to an including being a heartbeat away from the Presidency under a 75-year old man, and control of nuclear weapons?
MR
Answer the question.
I dare you.
I have never believed SP was going to run for President. I stated, a long time ago, right here in this blog, that my bet is we'll have a Mormon President. I Don't think SP is qualified and I don't think the President is qualified. The difference is that he's proven it. I just find it strange that there is so much hatred. I might be wrong but I think it's the abortion issue that brings out the hate. She does have lots of supporters but really doesn't need apologists.
Bill, the only person talking about hatred toward Palin in this thread is you.
Oh, and I see now you've introduced the mellow topic of abortion.
I always had a sense that Sarah Palin would never make it to the Oval Office, and thus never took her seriously. But what I want to know is, how come John McCain gets off scott-free? No one ever seems to criticize him for bringing her to prominence in the first place. It seems McCain is still thought of in some quarters, including some liberal quarters, as the most honest politician standing. Let's face it. Choosing Palin as a running mate was a cynical act, and, given McCain's age and that he had already had a bout of cancer, possibly even a dangerous one. Yet he's never criticized. I don't get it. Is everybody so anxious to have a pol with integrity, that we're willing to settle for make-believe?
Bill,
MR didn't ask if you thought SP would run for President. He asked for an accounting of qualities that would make her a desirable choice for the office. Another way of putting it would be to take the form of your statement "I don't get the hate" and substitute "I don't get the appeal" and ask that you enlighten us. Lift the veil, let the sunshine in.
RJ
RJ: How the fuck would I know why some people appeal to other people? She has nice legs. WTF? Some people think Barney Frank is appealing. Why does MSNBC do half of most of their prime time segments on her?
Kirk: McCain lost the election. That's some pretty severe criticism.
Erin: you don't think her pro life stance is a big reason lots of people hate, er dislike her?
Bill, lots of people are anti-choice--take the Pope for instance. As for Palin, find someone who hates her and ask them.

Thank you for your critique of a conversation in which you took no part. Although I agree absolutely that Mrs. Palin is a narcissist, as far as I am aware that character trait or disorder hasn't been criminalized,
Lest you think the thread was soly about the most well-known housewife in Wasilla, Alaska, we also touched on several other topics: stalking, several biblical texts from both the Old and New Testaments, the differences in Baptist breeds, the character-building qualities of lawn mowing, the hypocrisy and recklessness of some pro-gun legislators, voter suppression, BBWs, MILFs, BBC porn and FTFA...(oh, wait, sorry I left that one out above, never mind about FTFA) and other sexual acronyms, tender sensibilities, Dame Helen Mirren, Herman Cain, the meaning of the sacrement of Holy Communion and the difference between a MILF and a cougar.
So, you see, it wasn't ALL about Mrs. Palin. And NONE of it was about you, so disregard 'the mess above me', and get your own freaking grip.
MR
Mike, MR, Badge and Al, when a thread begins commenting on itself, methinks we've turned a corner of sorts. Dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but it is, indeed, a thing.
Kirk, I do think McCain got plenty of guff back in '08 about Palin. Remember people referring to the move as the campaign's hail >ary? And then there was Colin Powell, who publicly pulled his support from McCain, citing the veep choice.
At some point, she became her own entity and he was exonerated from that point on.

You can always email me if you wish to know my reasoning for that decision.
As for the foie gras, it's actually farms that do most of it in this country. D'Artagnan, in the Hudson Valley is probably the best known. You can look it up here: http://www.dartagnan.com/. It would be awfully hard to make foie gras of a corporation I should think.

Not a political comment.
d'Artagnan lives in the Hudson Valley? Figures it'd be some prissy frenchman with a bunch a fat geese waddling around.
Bet you'd never catch Pythagoras eating a goose liver. Or a fava bean.
BTW, Is there any connection between the children's game "Duck, Duck, Goose" and foie gras?
RJ
d'Artagnan is the name of the farm/company that raises the ducks/geese for foie gras. A woman named Ariane Daugin runs it, and she is indeed doing the Lord's work up there. And yes, she is French.
As for Pythagoras, he doesn't know what he's missing and/or missed. Foie gras is truly the food of the Gods. Well, that and beer.
No idea if there is a connection between the children's game and foie gras. Maybe we could come up with a new one? Duck, Duck, Foie? Just sayin' .....

Movie Trivia- What is the answer to Vincents question?
Vincent: And you know what they call a... a... a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?
Jules: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with cheese?
Vincent: No man, they got the metric system. They wouldn't know what the fuck a Quarter Pounder is.
Jules: Then what do they call it?
Vincent: They call it **********(The clock is ticking)
Jules: **************. What do they call a Big Mac?
Vincent: Well, a Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it le Big-Mac.
Jules: Le Big-Mac. Ha ha ha ha. What do they call a Whopper?
Vincent: I dunno, I didn't go into Burger King.

Erin, I do agree Palin became her own entity at some point. I'm just not sure why she that happened. To me, there always seemed to be bigger right-wing dragons to slay. John McCain wasn't really one of them (though, as a member of the Senate, he can shape policy in a way Palin can't). I just feel the role he played has been forgotten. I guess it's like the 1931 version of Frankenstein. Everybody remembers Boris Karloff but not Colin Clive.
One dragon that I think was much bigger than Palin, going back (in the US) to the Clinton years, may have ended up slaying himself. The headline on the Reuters web site:
NEWS CORP INVESTORS PLANNING TO VOTE MURDOCH OUT.
A ROYALE. And they dip their fries in Mayonnaise.
"I'm not sure why she that happened"
Incomplete re-wording of the sentence.
Sorry, Kirk, I was so excited to clock in on RJ's quiz, that I got ahead of myself.
I think Palin happened because of her looks. I always did. Obama was young and dazzling and McCain was, well, McCain.
And in the beginning, it worked. Remember the electricity that erupted when she first stepped onto the stage and gave the pit bull in lipstick speech?
As for Murdoch: ugh.
Considering our subject matter, Kirk, I thought the wording was completely appropriate.
Too easy.
Jules: "Do they speak English in ****?

There was always something about Palin's personality, the hard edges, that I recognized but couldn't quite put my finger on.
Then I read an article about the current abundance and popularity of nose candy in AK, and the 90's came flooding back. I had a blast wasting a lot of time in bars back then, and coke was a staple for many of the people I witnessed every day. Not for me, I hated the shit. Jack Daniels was, and is, my drug of choice. Only now it takes me 2 years to match a month's worth of back in the day. But I can still spot a coke head's jaw-jack twitch and unblinking 40-foot-stare-in-a-ten-foot-room a mile away. Lotta lawyers got it.
Anyway, that made it click. Palin has the hard, tired features of a coke ho, 9 miles out from the impending crash. Yep, coke ho. Their sweat stinks from the baby powder cut, too. Bleh.
But mostly, all y'all what don't get our revulsion for her, it's cuz she's stoopid. And godammit, we don't need no more stoopid in this here country. We breed it like cattle.
Funny how hot Tina Fey makes Palin look. It's cuz Fey is clever, and has a heart. Coke eats yer heart.
Interesting reflection on coke PB. I go back a little farther than you to the 70's and it's link to Disco, another unfortunate blight on the cultural map and one in which SP would have likely been right at home. I'm thinking in particular of the open shirts and the little gold coke spoons worn as necklaces that were all the rage back then.
In the interest of full disclosure I did my fair share of coke during those years as well but never in a disco. Learned "The Love Drug" would actually make your dick as limp as a dishrag at the most inopportune times.
Cheech and Chong were probably at their peak of popularity ("Dave's not here Man") and I saw them in a live performance. Tommy Chong wore a big wooden salad spoon around his neck.

This thread is like a slow delicious cocktail party.
That's a pretty bold statement Phil and one with no credibility. While I'm not a big Palin fan, to put something like that out there is akin to saying Obama's a Muslim. I've come to expect better than that of you.
I think Palin is addicted to attention and money. Her faux "campaign" over the summer and leaving the gov's office to follow the bright lights are the obvious manifestations of it.
But she also that faraway look of an addict that Phil alludes to. Cocaine isn't her drug of choice, Palin is.
Remember when she tried to make the Tucson shootings all about her? MR said it before: Behold epitome of narcissistic personality disorder.

I think PB was into the JD when commenting about SP. At least I hope he has a good excuse for that tripe.
Roger Ailes doesn't much look like a cokehead but I have absolutely no proof of that.
RJ
Roger Ailes, another American success story. I can't help but wonder if our Humble Hostess hangs out with him at OU alumni weekend.
Tripe.
Bill, I've ignored enough of your tripe to know you are the last person who should expect an excuse from me.
I said it and I meant it because it explains to me much of the behavior Palin exhibited when her handlers were futiley trying to prop her up as a contender.
More Tripe.
Erin...The slow delicious cocktail party ran out of vermouth and ice, and now everyone's guzzling well gin from the bottle...

PB: Here's confirmation that your first allegation is tripe. confirmed tripe I suggest you try some menudo while reading. Al can probably offer a nice recipe. It's also good for a hangover.
@RJ-I also allege without being able to offer proof at this time that Roger Ailes is no stranger to the embraces of barnyard creatures...also a pretty bold statement, but not qualitatively different from what Ailes' 'stable' of hucksters spew, on a regular basis, as a matter of company policy, for money...

@Bill...Boy, that looks like a fair-minded source to discredit Joe McGinniss' book...you can tell by the masthead item calling for the indictment of Barack Obama...VERRRRRRYY credible...
Here's the credibility(such as it is) to the allegations about Palin in the McGinniss book: a)nobody has filed suit against McGinniss or his publisher and b)the denials issued by Palin's camp generally take the form of non-denial denials-they deny the overall tenor of the book,
attack the author and his motives, but deny nothing in detail.
Now, I have read only excerpts of McGinniss' book and I don't intend to read any more, even to peruse it at the library...stuff like this is tawdry and irrelevent...but a reason that books like this get written by someone like Mrs. Palin is that a lot of people feel great schadenfreude at hypocrisy exposed.

While I was away tending to my college football business (Roll Tide) it appears the faux talking heads were busy dusting off their anti-american cliche books from the sixties re: #OCCUPY. They best pace themselves or they'll be all out before Sunday Morning Talk time. Now, since we have become rigorously data based here at the Owners Manual, I must admit this is an intuitive statement with no actual statistics to back it up. On the other hand the laws of probability seem to support the conclusion that Ann Coulter can only say "Nazi" a finite number of times before it becomes irrelevant.
