Oh how I love vintage magic posters. More on this here.

Excellent! Very cool and sinister looking poster!

Marvelous posters, Erin! On your 3/23/09 post, check the woman in the 2nd poster down, riding the man side-saddle and brandishing her crop. Yikes!

I love vintage advertising art and decorate the home and office with it. Some of the French posters of the 1920s are glorious.

The cool thing about this sort of vintage is that they couldn't use a chickie in a string bikini to titillate. They had to use other images to evoke sin--hence those delicious scheming imps and demons.

I love these posters to a fault. I have two reproductions: this one, and you can see a portion of the other in the graphic for this post.

I love weirdo art!

You little devil! ;} You're absolutely right. They had to appeal to one's salacious side in different ways than the "just stick it out there" manner we know now.

I love images that make one sit back and say, "OK, let me try to figure out EVERYTHING that's going on here."

I think that hung on Jack Kirby's or Wally Wood's wall as a child.

(for the uninitiated, they're comic book artists)
