I am inspired to spend the rest of my day in a musical. Maybe a dance number at Pick-n-Save.

What amazes me about Cole Porter and all the other Tip Pan Alley folks is how they could string together what was basically one-liners and make them RHYME!

"Fred gave Ginger class, Ginger gave Fred sex."

--Katherine Hepburn

(Ginger didn't literally give him that, of course. Remember, they had that pesky Hays Office back then.)

I don't have YouTube--is this a straight guy misguidedly singing "I Get a Kick Out of You," so his sexuality will forever be questioned in eternity, like I did at the Xmas party??

My wife is a big fan of "So You Think You Can Dance" and after a few weeks of watching that, this is an amazingly refreshing view of how wonderful dance can be. I love old Fred Astaire movies.

OH NO! Zen Wizard snapped on Fred. He's actually one of the greats and drew great song-writers to Hollywood for a chance to score his work. Look at the great American songbook and trace the songs back to their original recordings - a good number of them are Fred. Of course, he ain't no Sinatra but he has Franks ability to choose the best phrasing and tone. (I'm sorta a Fred fan if you didn't guess.)
