Dear lake bugs,

Some people call you Canadian Soldiers. Some call you mayflies. Some call you midges. I just want to call you and say thanks for irritating the living bejesees out of those stinky Yankees during last night's Indians game. I grew up with about a zillion of you guys all over my whole life for every summer and I know exactly how you work.

I knew that DEET those guys were spraying all over wouldn't do a thing to deter you guys. And I for one saw those itty-bitty Indian's jerseys you were all wearing. They looked real nice.

I also know that there was nothing freakish about how you guys were behaving last night like that news link above says. You were just doing your regular-born Cleveland way of living.

Anyhow, I think you lake bugs showed everyone just the sort of team spirit that runs through a town like Cleveland. You guys kick serious ass.

Love,

Erin

This is what I love about you Erin: you write a letter to the BUGS. There's nothing like October baseball, especially when the spring 08 midges hatch too early right on time.

Please send some to Wrigley today.
The hapless Cubs need all the help they can get.

I think they were wearing Indians' jerseys. They menaced the hell out of Joba Chamberlain, and clearly left Fausto Carmona, and the other Indians' pitchers alone.

I'll even wager that those bugs have Cleveland accents!

I'm not a baseball fan at all. I guess I call those little bugs and baseball fans... NATS.

I was camping in or near Holland, Michigan when I was a youngin when a tornado came past. I slept through it, but in the morning all our water jugs were covered with baseball fans... I mean nats. :-)

Erin, things have been slow and fast lately. I miss you.

Here in Indy we have our farm team, I hope your team wins...This is for true, I am not a turn coat I just don't feel an affinity for the farm team. I would wager if one of them made it to the show they would not mention Indy , not in a eleventy years!

My SO is convinced he cursed the yanks and thus the reason the buggies showed up. Men just think they are all that, don't they? :-)
