Whatcha doin' next weekend?

On next Saturday, Sept. 15, I'll be joining other area writers for the 24th Annual Western Reserve Writers Conference and Workshop at Lakeland Community College. I'll be presenting "Bringing Personal Essay to Life" during one of the four workshop slots. Editing sessions, a Q & A panel and author signings are also included in the day-long event.

You can choose four sessions from an impressive list of sixteen. Here's just a few to whet your appetite: "Playing with Words" by (be still my heart) Ray McNiece, "Rules of Writing for Young Adults" by (she rocks my face off) Cinda Chima, and "The Plot: A Do-It-Yourself Guide" by (he drives me crazy but he's a genius) Steve Hayward.

Click here for all the details.

Okay I wish I could take all these classes. I've forgotten how to write my own name. But who the hell is that asshole at Wikepedia? Jesus.

I'd like to take them too.

I presented one year at that conference, and was never asked back. Hmmm...

You and Hayward can throw paper airplanes at each other from across the hall.
