Brilliant. I thought the dialogue was brilliant, especially for one so young.

I bet those were illegal aliens here to rape the US treasury and take the booty back to their home planet for irresponsible partying and wild alien sex. Bastards.

Well, I am impressed, but I can't say I'm surprised at all. I'm also very encouraged by this lovely 35-year timeline. I enjoy writing. When my daughter showed interest at about age 4, I fostered it in every way I knew. At 19, she's still at it. And now I know that some girls DO get the bug and make it their life. Thank you for today's post.

I wish I had gone to your school instead. Whenever I drew pictures of aliens, the teacher sent me home with a note.

love it man, love. it!
just before she turned 5 my daughter wrote and illustrated a book for me for Father's Day. It was about a princess asleep in a tower. She'd been asleep for a long time and she was waiting for...(and here I thought, of course, the typical bullshit: the Prince who comes to kiss her and wakes her up right? No.) she was waiting for...another princess (in the form of my daughter) who brought her a beating, red heart. As soon as the sleeping princess received the heart, she woke up. "And they lived happily ever after." Brilliant! Gay marriage AND a heart transplant. Ya gotta love the little ones. The progressive little ones.

Rils really has a way with words!

Why does every word look better with a "tle" or "stat" in it? It's a unwritten law.
