The blogging reviewers are checking in. Here is what Psychic Dumb-Dumb had to say about my novel Harvey & Eck.
"Motorcycle riding fertility goddess Harvey summons the idiosyncratic and regimented Eck through an unlikely correspondence about the anxiety of loosing ones identity to motherhood and everything else in between. What unravels as a result changes the life of one man thought fixated and destined to only one kind.
This quaint tale is as funny and witty as it is touching. It's subsidiary characters are as unique and colorful as the ones who tell it. A laugh out loud read filled with fantastical prose that will leave you wanting to acquire a pen pal of your own.
Harvey & Eck has all of the elements to be adapted into a screenplay, which would make for an interesting and original film to grace the big screen.
A good piece of literature to add to your library, and enough to render it eclectic.
A book hard to put down. I look fast forward to Erin O'Brien's next one."
Thanks, PDD. And for those who want to judge for themselves, you can read an excerpt here.

Chris Barzak was tagged by Ms. Bond for the five weird habits meme. He tagged me. Now I'm tagging you.
The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don't forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says "You have been tagged" (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.
If you break the chain, it's not my karma. (I hate to disappoint friends, even when sticking other friends with obligations.)
it's everything i would have said had i the eloquence. rock on!
but, uh, does he mean 'loosing' or 'losing'?
Yowsa! Hard and hairy and musky indeed!
But Erin, I wish you would have asked me first before you allowed the printer to put my photo on the cover. I was having a "good jeans" day.
Good work, excellent prose, I salute you!
It was my pleasure to both read the book and write the review.
I really can't wait to read you next one, and see Harvey & Eck on the big screen.
We'll talk later.
I'm just gonna say AWESOME! I'm so impressed (though not at all surprised). :)
