Wango your tango

Of course I expected the righties to have a collective post-election tantrum. The petitions to secede were predictable enough, although the counter petitions are just plain silly to me, as is the notion of quitting school on account of Obama's win. But running over your husband for not voting? I never saw that coming. And offing yourself over an election is just so sad. Talk about your poor losers.

Yeah, yeah. You can have all that. I'm still waiting for Ted Nugent to either die or go to jail.

Oh, Erin. How would I ever learn about these things without you?

That wife looks major crazy. It's always a comfort to find someone who is loonier than I am (though I'm not the "I hate Obama" kinda loony).

The dude who offed himself owned a TANNING SALON? The irony (at least in my mind).

Crybabies indeed. I've been sort of hoping that all those folks who want to secede could band together in one state and do it. But then I heard a sensible report on the radio about how the parent has to keep the kids together for the good of the family. Are these really our kids?

Apparently, Texas has it's own power grid and enough signatures. DANG can't we let them go? Please, Erin, please? Send all the dissenters and TEA partiers and Ayn Randians down there and seal it off?

Sigh. I've had a hard couple of months. Maybe it's just the stress and that's where this ranting fantasy comes from.

Keep 'em coming, O'Brien.

I heard Mexico is busily building a fence in anticipation of Texan Independence. Refugees will be streaming across the border.

Erin-

Mr Romney had Ted Nugent and Meatloaf.

The President has Bruce Springsteen and Bono.

MR

PS-You seen any of your Obama 'stuff' yet? Any of those 'gifts' Mr Romney was talking about? I haven't even gotten my Obamaphone yet!

Yesterday the President gave his 1st press conference in 9 months. Although he received just one tough question and didn't really answer anything, there was a silver lining. George W. Bush was not blamed for anything. In the mean time the poverty rate is rising, unemployment is still too high, most new jobs are part time and low pay, food stamp participation is increasing, health insurance premiums are increasing and tax rates will soon increase for everyone. Oh, the other good news? The guy responsible for the anti Islam movie trailer is in jail.

I don't believe the President talked much about Sandy, yesterday. I'm predicting that he'll use that as a reason his policies aren't working, a few months from now.

Say, Erin-

Does the Owner's Manual operate any kind of outreach programs for individuals more challenged than others as far as looking up some simple facts on the interwebs?

Like for instance, if Ohio lost 6,500 jobs last month, that that's not a record? Or even close to a record?

Or like Ohio's unemployment rate is actually quite a bit lower than the national average? Or that the improving employment situation in Ohio has quite a bit to do with a resurgent automotive industry thanks to the current administration?

I'm just asking about the outreach or tutorials or what have you. I think it would be sad if somebody could just look something up, before posting a comment on a blog that makes 'em look...thick?

I was pretty much talking about in the blog world. You know like some people actually wish death on another person because the have a different point of view.

Erin O'Brien said...

And I'm pretty sure MR wasn't wishing death on "Noogie," Bill; but the lady who rammed her Jeep into her husband? I'm pretty sure she was more than (ahem) wishing death on him.

So now we know "Bill" is an ethical relativist. Kinda like when theft is not theft if it's called "Profit."

Say, Bill-Did you know you can go to the Bureau of Labor Statistics web site and get the numbers of unemployed per month per state? And did you know that you can go to Ohio's Job and Family services website and get the number of new unemployment claims per month?

Well, you know now. Obviously you didn't before or you don't give a good goddamn about posting truthful information to support your claim that Ohio posted record jobless claims with 6,540 new claims. Because it's plainly untrue.

Whichever one of the fever-swamp reactionary bloggers you got that claim from lied to you, Bill. I'm sorry to disillusion you.

Gotta go, I've got Ann Coulter on the other line. I'm counting on her to bring the Adam's Apple Pie again for Thanksgiving.

I like Ted Nugent. Anyone who can use a Gibson Byrdland, and 6 Fender Dual Showman's back in the 70s, along with extension cabinets (everything on the amps was turned to 10) gets my respect, particularly if their hearing is still intact.
