Last night, the Cleveland Museum of Art hosted a masquerade party. Your humble hostess carried a mask on a stick. The Goat went unmasked.
There was something about the way everyone dressed for the event and relished in their costumes. All the darling young ladies wore high heels and short dresses, although some wore long dresses. The men wore suits (including the Goat). Everyone sipped their potables and scanned the crowd from behind their feathered and glittered masks. People danced to live classical music.
In a word, the event was dazzling.
And it all reminded me of this:
~~sigh~~

It looks like the movie "Eyes Wide Shut"...
That's what I thought glitter...Not that that's a bad thing.
On the other hand I thought to myself "EO'B out smoozing with the 1%."

Tickets for the event were seven bucks (free for members). A glass of vino put you back seven as well. They had beer (a little less) and more potent potables (a little more) and your softer selections (a lot less).
I had a grilled lamb sammy on tandoor flat bread at the cafe and the Goat had a beef plate with couscous and peanut sauce. Our bill was about $20. There were less expensive Panini sandwiches and smaller snack items to be had.
Anyhoo, point is that the event was easily affordable for the 99 percent.
yay Cleveland!
I've read so many food posts here every time you write "potable" my brain sees "potato." (that and the unintended consequences of my wasted youth)
Just teasing about the 1% E'O. But it's ok. You go out and spend Goats money any way you like.

The chicks in the LBDs might as well don a red coat and blow a hunting horn
CLE chicks are fine.
