It is produced by the modial interaction of magnetoreluctance and capacitive directance

Yes, it's been around along time, but the Turboencabulator still cracks me up. I remember these guys. I remember the ties and pocket protectors and all of it.

People, I'm talking bellowing laughter and tears squeezing from my eyes every time I watch this.

And I'm sure the Pentagon indeed bought it.

That actor looks familiar. Who ever he is, he should get an Oscar or whatever type of award they give for performing in whatever the heck that was.

Thanks Erin for introducing us to Steven Chu's mentor.

... sorry guys, I'd respond, but reciprocating dingle arm ... I'm DYIN' over here!

I was just going to write something about the reciprocating dingle arm.

Dammit.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! I hurt myself laughing when he started to blather about girdle strings...

+1 on the reciprocating dingle arm. If I ever join another band, that's what I'm going to name it.

Al-

If Reciprocating Dingle Arm were to become a band, what kind of music would you guys play?

Trippy and Primus-esque?

Some sort of resurrected Zappa?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I wonder if it's difficult to handle girdle strings with one's reciprocating dingle arm? Just askin'!

You are aware that I like word porn like this... I think technical jargon, like geek speak, should be recognized as official languages and taught in schools!

I'm looking for my slide rule. I'm sure the calculations are off...

The real reason that Mitch McConnell punted on debt reduction? He's instead doubling down on investment in the turbo encabulator industry to spur job creation.

@ Dan: Zappa would most certainly be in the mix, as would Primus, Rush, ELP, King Crimson, early Genesis etc. Conspicuously absent would be any country music, disco, techno, dance, industrial, and rap/hip hop, metal (any kind of metal - it's patently horrid), or blues (it's not that I don't like it - as a bass player, it bores the hell out of me).

The experiment was humming along until the heximajackshaft limiter relay stuck, causing the the coaxial capaciter to delaminate. Tragic, really.
Mike r
Al-ps-have you heard the Crimson live box set from '73-'74? Monstrous stuff.

I hate to keep on putting up links but this totally reminded me of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9160eN69mM

It's the episode of 'Look Around You' that explains Germs - did you know that they originated in Germany?

And it makes coffee, too. DOD needs 500 of these babies, right now.
