And I think it's gonna be a long long time

Is there any former smoker out there who doesn't want to take a good long drag after that? Is there any doubt Shatner got one hell of a lot of trim back in the day?

Christ awmighty. I miss 1978.

This is one of his finest moments...ever. This song/vid is cool in such a weird way. But, hard not the love the guy for it. Then, there's this, from his former sidekick:

Wow.

If you have the chance, watch the uncensored Comedy Central Roast of Shatner. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I've actually heard his whole album The Transformed Man. His version of Mr. Tambourine Man is amazing...ly bad. He does some Shakespeare on it too, if I remember correctly.

Leonard Nimoy's album was even more hilarious in a way, because he actually tries to sing, and it includes a song about Bilbo Baggins, the Hobbitt. It really does.

Find that video on youtube and it will BLOW YOUR MIND.

Damn, Jonas just posted the Bilbo song... AWESOME.

Well that was stunning. I wonder if Nimoy got it on with the blond chick after the Bilbo video shoot.

Phil, that's the best offer I've had all week.

"perhaps the lowest moment in Leonard Nimoy's life". This from pelayo, October 17, 2005. Still accurate after 5 years.

I make a point of watching "Highway Patrol" reruns at 5am weekdays on This TV. I wasn't allowed to watch it when it was prime time in 1957-1960 because it was too violent, my older brothers could, though, and I would hide at the top of the steps and listen to Captain Dan Matthews always get the bad guy.

Seeing the classic cars now rocks my world. Leonard Nimoy appeared recently as a hapless worker who spilled some radioactive pellets and ran off to the woods to keep from endangering others. It was awesome to see Spock flustered and confused. Dan( Broderick Crawford) got him squared away within the alloted time slot.

Just watched this again. GOOD CHIRST what genius.

Sorry Erin, the only thing I wished for was this to be over.

Now Shatner performing Sarah Palin's tweets?

Enough to turn me gay!

A haunting performance by one of the greatest actors of his generation.

Meanwhile, in Russia:

The talented Edward Khil performed a routine clearly inspired by Shatner (maybe...)

That's what I like about the 70s, things just made more sense back then.

I agree this is bad, but why is it bad? Is it the overall concept, or how that concept is executed? Is it due to Shatner's inadequecies as a performer, or is just that pop music lyrics, no matter how well written, are meant to be sung and not spoken?

"Fee Times a Mady" by Eddie Murphy channeling Buckwheat. He's fucked up the Commodores for me, for good.
