Anyhow, it's sort of like the coolest belated xmas gift coming straight down from heaven by way of both you and Mom and I love it. Your great-granddaughter thinks they're pretty terrific as well.
Mostly I miss you and wish you were here so we could play gin for half the afternoon, but I'll sure think of you every time I turn on these far-out lamps.
Love,
Erin
ps: For any crazy cats out there who dig on this sort of thing and want to see more photos of these righteous lamps in a higher resolution, hop on over here.

Nothing beats a retro lamp!!! I have a growing collection. My favorite is one marked C. Miller 1955

The absolute bomb, O'Brien.
Reminds me of the lamp from A Christmas Story, but these are way more awesome.

I like them. Like them a lot.
They're fabulous, Erin! She bought them in the year of my birth. You're lucky to have them. Happy birthday in a few days.
Thanks everyone.
As silly as it was to post this, I did anyway. I can't believe the lamps came back to us.
We're not sure where we'll put them yet, but every time I step into the family room and see them, I am dazzled.
My gram would get such a kick out of all this, I swear.
They fit right in with that magic poster in the background.
oh my, these lamps are magic! i do love the red shoes. and the way the vest just barely covers her. hot. very hot.
Definitely different...really like them...
I've always been amazed how our loved ones seem to gift us long after they are dead.
I have my deceased grandmother's button collection in my closet and every so often, the tin will tumble from the shelf as I am reaching for a pair of shoes and the button will scatter across the floor. Although it makes quite a mess, I know it's just Grandmom's way of saying "Hello! Thinking of you."
