Read this

I thought this piece on Geithner by Jessica Yellin for CNN was a damn fine bit of writing.

Now, who would want to invest in something labelled as a "toxic investment?" Hmmmm. Anyone want to invest in the top hundred acres of an active volcano?

I will admit, Economics is not my strong point. But we have definitely got ourselves in to a mess. Whether you like them or not you have to feel sorry for this administration.

I have to agree with "The Fool". They need to find a new phrase instead of "Toxic Investment".

How about "Circus Peanuts"! The first one tastes really good, by the time you eat the third one you are ready to puke.

Geithner will get the job done in spite of those who want an overnight miracle. Toughest job in the country next to Obama's. Hope Bush is enjoying chopping wood.

There are so many gems like this one in the article:

Slumped in a chair, lost in a suit with pants that seemed to swallow him, he used his large hands: sweeping out wide as he explained his confidence in the plan, then folding into a steeple as he was asked for more specifics.

I enjoy Yellin's field work for CNN but I never had any idea she was such a skilled pensmith. Her work is definitely high on my radar now. Thanks, Erin.

I know!

I was really taken with that. You don't see something so subtle yet risky in today's online see of hackmanship.

Yellin took a number of risks in that article, nearly slipping into hyperbole more than once, but that's what kept me reading.
