Rejecting Sara Palin

It's not so much that I'm looking forward to the end of Palin shrieking about Democrats who "pal around with terrorists." I am. Very much so. Or her ham-fisted declarations about which parts of America are more patriotic. It's not so much that I'm looking forward to the end of the red scare hysteria she's whipping up when she tells her Audience the Stupid that somehow a vote for the Democratic ticket is a vote for communism. More than Palin herself, I'm looking forward to the end of an era in which the aforementioned gomers -- these relatively small pockets of bigots and witch hunters -- have enjoyed undeserved attention and disproportionate sway over American politics and policy. --Bob Cesca for HuffPo

Hey, are you Conan's sister ?

Sorry. Being Republican, I couldn't think of anything else to say, lol !

Welcome Heff,

Why, you and I are practically related!

No, I'm not Conan O'Brien's sister, but I do remember Conan the Barbarian and didn't Arnold play him?

And Arnold's a Republican, so there you go!

Win or lose, I am afraid we have not seen the last of her: She will probably lose and then do a Nixonian type retreat, where she will study real hard you betcha and memorize all the names of those pesky Something-istan countries don'tcha know?

Then she will be back in approx. eight years.

The maniacal following that Sarah has gained is just too tempting for some Rovian Svengali to not exploit.

Or I still say Obama could do to her what Kennedy did to Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. and make her ambassador to Darfur. (Vietnam would be a sweet gig nowadays...)

Lets just hope if they lose that she will just go away....I pray for that...

Really guys let her fight on. She's the most effective argument for supporting the left.

In those moments of calm admidst the pre-election paranoia in which I see the future clearly I see an incredibly marginalized GOP filled with fanatical nationalists. They have driven the moderates and libertarians out of the party and while they will be loud and annoying I can't imagine they will ever be able to muster an electoral majority.

You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

I'll second that motion. BTW, click on my name up there to see what Sharon Osbourne had to say about her...you'll laugh your ass off.

My chief beef with the GOPhers, is that they always TALK a good game, then never take the field and follow their own game plan (Ronald Reagan excepted, but just barely).
Palin's nothing but bait for the base, and the Donks could have ran Sponge Bob Squarepants and won.
Maybe I'm wrong and Obama will go down in flames, but I see a lot more of his signs than TMC's, and Intrade.com has him in the mid 80s.

Yeah, what he said.

Erin, did you see Tami Winfrey Harris's blog entry on Huffington Post? You've got to read it!
