Mother's day

If you'd like a cup of weird Erin-style fiction, you can download the entire PDF of Air in the Paragraph Line, Issue 12 here. My story "Skeleton Mom" is the 13th one down--is that lucky or scary?

"Skeleton Mom" fielded one of the most obnoxious rejections of all time. Read all about it over here at Kim Weiss's blog.

Erin -- GREAT fiction, and the backstory, via your "guest blog entry" over at Kim Weiss's place, is also enticing reading. Sometimes stories take a while to find the right home. (and sometimes the homes we try to place them at are mean and nasty and rude -- but the sweetest taste of all is having the words triumph in the end!)

Kudos. I really enjoyed "Skeleton Mom" - especially the twist at the end - and I doff my hat to you for your savvy handling of the rejection slip. Remember...they only call them rejection slips beacause they are written by rejects. Keep at it - you're aces.

Congrats Erin girl. I wish I had remembered your 1 x 8-inch rejection when talking to new NEOMFA students today...

Skeleton Mom was a great story! I've always said children suck the life out of you. That's why I don't have any!!

Best to you,
Jan
