Abandoned cabin

There is an abandoned cabin across the road from the Goat's brother's house. Abandoned places have a strange feeling to them. They fascinate me endlessly. This is a sturdy log structure that was built in the the 1920s or 30s. It had obviously been updated through the years.

All of the doors were open, so I poked around. There was a sleeping loft and a big stone fireplace. This would have been one rockin' party pad!

Hi red ball on the windowsill.

Turn on those Christmas lights. Turn up the Springsteen. Turn down the party poopers. Turn around and get more ice.

If you're bad, you have to sit in the shed for 10 minutes with no beer. If your good you get to to in there with me for a half hour and we can neck.

Who wants to wash my back?

I'll have mine over easy. And let's fry up a mountain of bacon! Could someone find the coffee pot?

Don't forget to wash your hands!

Great party! Let's do it again next weekend.

Reminds me of a place my uncle used to own. Grandma would take me & my sister out there for a week in the summer, because it was near a lake and just out away from everything else. You had to flush the toilet by pouring a gallon of water into the thing, and bring a portable stovetop because the gas wasn't hooked up anymore.

Some of the most fun I ever had was in a run-down place like that.

Abandoned places hold a real fascination for me, too. The pics added a really nice touch. Great post.

There was an abandoned house in our neighborhood where I grew up. Us kids used to say it was haunted, but I'm pretty sure we were the only spooks haunting the place.

I always find myself wondering what's buried below the floorboards, or down in the cellar, in places like this.

Hey, it's the cabin from Evil Dead II! What's the worst that can happen?

That looks like a great place to bring the girlies when my van's in the shop.

The cat escaped and hid under the cabin for a while. Nothing is buried in the crawlspace under the house, though it is very cold and doesn't smell great.

Up until a few years ago there were trees all around the house; no sunlight like in the pics. It may have been a party place, or just haunted when nobody was around and the Christmas lights twinkled.
