Thanks to everyone on Mom's behalf. I think this pic is really stunning and, yes, it was taken on the evening of her Senior Prom. My grandmother made the dress.
The photo behind Mom is actually her sweet 16 portrait, so it is also her.
I will take a picture of Mom soon and post it so you will see that she is just as beautiful today as she was then.
Ohhhhhh.... my mom was born in 1940 and I have VERY similar photos of her as well?!
How nice to have a timeless, classic teenage photos to look back at?! Mine are flock of seagull mall bangs and Benetton skirt sets and braces and zits and igh, most of all: HIDDEN IN THE BACK OF A CLOSET ;)
Lets see.....how do you say this about someone's Mom...? Was she from the Cleveland area? Has she ever cruised Manner's Restaurant? Does she remember a cute guy in a lowered '48 Ford convertible? He would have been wearing a red, nylon jacket and pretending he was James Dean....Luckies rolled up in his t-shirt sleeve. "Peggy Sue" on the radio.
No Satan...not perving....quite the opposite, remembering simple, magical innocent days that many O'brien fans will, sadly, never know! BTW, I won't be visiting "your house". I've made other plans :)

She's beautiful, and I think you have her eyes.
I think you look a lot like her. Eyes... mouth... jawline.
Panchromatic films of that era were wonderful for people photography. There's a lot to like about this snapshot.
Beautiful.
Mom was a hottie. I think you take after her big time

And her mother in the picture behind?
They look like they have the same eyes and nose.

Oh yes, those mischievious, "come hither" eyes.

Wow...beautiful photo.
Good lookin dame
It's funny how 18 yr. olds back then looked so much more mature, or maybe it's just more sophisticated. She is beautiful.
I agree with Jon!
