Dear friends, your humble hostess invites you to treat yourself to a visual menu of some of the delights available at the 2013 Great Geauga County Fair.
Enjoy.
The inscrutable taco in a bag should never be confused with ... |
... the walking taco--or should it? |
Cheese on a stick ... |
... and cheese on a stick ... |
... and lastly, cheese that's fried, but may or may not be on a stick. |
The elusive Superboli ... |
... and the redundant crispy fry mix. |
The deep friend pickles are happy ... |
... and the waffles--all the waffles--are in bags. |
The deep fried pizza sticks are reportedly delicious. |
The obligatory fried Twinkies and Oreos were on hand, but ... |
... perhaps the best surprise of all was the milk vending machine, located just outside of the dairy barn. |

I gotta believe there's a cow on the other side of that wall.
When I would help my grandfather milk cows, we would drink the warm milk, straight from the teat, from tin cups that hung near the sink in the chiller room. On frost covered mornings, as the sun was rising, nothing better.
He also taught me that the way to catch flies is to come in quick from behind them, they take off backwards. He never missed with those giant cupped leather hands.
He always smelled of Copenhagen and Three-in-One oil.
A link for Phil--the uncropped photo.
