Stars on ice

Good pilgrims: Once a year in a magical place called Medina, Ohio, a festival of ice comes to life. In her endless quest to bring the wonders of the world to your doorstep, your humble hostess attended said event and offers these glimpes.

Glamorous stars dazzled television screens ...

... whilst a tiny songstress serenaded the throngs.

Great platters of rich cakes tempted ...

... but were no match for a mermaid's icy charms.

Mysterious doors lead to long corridors ...

... that were lined in endless strands of sparkling beads.

A stern Pink Panther demanded ...

... that Ms. Coulter and Ms. Ivins sit next to each other politely.

Welcoming innkeepers fortified weary travelers ...

... if they managed safe passage through the terrifying bird of prey's domain.

Sweet treats made of glass at once delighted and frustrated ...

... as a lorn maiden gazed from her window and offered her heart to passersby.

And it all unfolded before one watchful cold eye.
