César Estrada Chávez ((March 31, 1927 – April 23, 1993) was an American farm worker, labor leader, and civil rights activist who, with Dolores Huerta, co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers.
RJ: I may be the only person here who has met Mr Chavez. Yep, actually went to La Paz, near Bakersfield, to try and collect some money from him. It was a very interesting trip. He was a pleasant guy but really did almost nothing for the farm workers.
