Sunuvabich, at 8:52 the sniper bullet takes out the SWAT helicopter, and the BMW roundel in the cockpit begins to spin like a prop. The BMW logo is a stylized flexing propeller quadrant, depicting signal aliasing, like when wagon wheels go backwards on film because of the frame speed.
It's from the days before BMW was forbidden to makes things that fly like in WWI when they made aeroplanes, which they used to drop grenades on the French. Holy Arcane, Obscure, Trivial yet Insanely Accurate Detail, Batman.
O'Brien, seriously, where the hell do you find this stuff?
