Making small thing grand and grand things small.

I love old cemeteries. Thanks for being both macabre and sharing, Erin!
I enjoyed this, Erin! And I don't feel particularly macabre about it. Ex and I came back from a longish trip to the UK one year. We turned in all of our 35 mm film to be developed. It was shocking how many cemetary and monument pictures we got. And I still love them all. They're quietly dignified.
WV = hablo. The statue angbel in the cemetary has a hablo on her head.
This cemetary looks cheerful. Yes, cheerful. I especially like how Friedrick and Friedricka (int eh second photo) are leaning into each other like they're posing for the shot.
One of the best dates I ever went on was a walking tour of Lakeview Cemetary on a breezy summer day.
The suburbs swallow up just about everything.
Even death.
Dig the detail on the higher res copies.
Notice how there's no grass right in front of Lucindia's grave stone?
Odd.
Kirk,
That's because she crawls out on a full moon and covers herself back up.
Okay, that is truly a little spooky how she has no grass. Good eye.
Um, I have totally done it in one of those spots.
I think I may have actually been wearing some hematite at the time.
Thanks. Thanks for making me remember that.
Erin, check out the Monroe Street cemetery, one block south of Lorain at W32nd. It is the second oldest one in the city. And there are deer living in it!
I want to touch Bridget.

i like walking around cemetaries. i once stopped at a small church cemetary on oahu and saw a headstone of a man who died on the exact date i was born. another, near where i live has a headstone of a lady who died in 1945 and there are fresh flowers almost every week. lots of untold stories.
@Entrepreneur Chick--Thanks for the eye compliment. I was actually squinting so that gave me a bit of an edge.
Bridget Callahan presents another inriguing, if less spooky, possibility.
