Lookie that

Even revered conservative commentator Peggy Noonan thinks Palin is a moron.

Initially I feared the piece would create some sort of existential dilemma. To wit: If a moron calls a moron a moron does it result in a non-moron? Upon reading the article I must humbly give Kudos to Peggy. It seems to me this is pretty much the definitive assessment of the Palin phenomena. Thanks for the link.

I don't do stuff to anonymously, but I do thank you for the link. Yet I think that despite her obvious short comings, we have become an insecure, self loathing nation of underachievers, who see themselves in Palin and her stumblings.

I don't think she can mess up enough for those folks.

Noonan said it eloquently. I say it like this: Wasilla Barbie is just like all the other Barbies - prettily molded plastic with a hollow head.

Meh. I don't think that Palin is a moron. But I do think that she has no sense of her own severe limitations.

That she was tapped at all is one more example of the pit that W dug for the Republican party, and one more reason why, in 2030 W will be widely recognized as the worst president in US history.

As for Noonan, I have never been impressed, and I'm not impressed now. She is late to the party, and only right because she's repeating things others have been saying for months.

This just in, Millard Fillmore to be bumped up one spot in 2030, his response, "it's been a long time coming, but I'd like to thank my crew, and of course, GDubya."

I was pretty much lost in morphine dreams back in October and November but didn't we decide she and the man that chose her were morons. I think so.

I've never thought she was a moron either. She is definitely intellectually daft, but she is as ambitious as anyone whose had their eyes on the presidency. When this is combined with her delusions of grandeur, and Nixonian resentments, it's almost lethal.

I'd be surprised if she got anywhere in '12 if she ran, but considering that she's only 45 now, I wouldn't be surprised if she found a way to bounce back from her Alaska fiasco, and the fiasco of her VP bid last year. There are still plenty of Republicans that adore her, and she'll get a lot of mileage out of that.

And while Palin is an easy whipping...girl, I think John McCain's legacy, however heroic in the past, is tarnished by the display of a) profound ineptitude in picking her without having any clue of her shortcomings or b) profound cynicism in choosing her knowing full well what her shortcomings were, or a combination of both.

But what do I know?
