Just Erin

A college buddy of mine contacted me last night and made a comment about the photo in yesterday's post, saying she was impressed that I still had anything like that laying around.

It is an evocative photo to me but in an ironic way. It's not at all graphic. You cannot see any part of our mouths, yet one commenter assumed we were french kissing and called it grotesque. Another said he didn't feel very good about the picture. Yet another liked the way my hands were around my Romeo's face.

There is not one controversial element to the photo. It's just two half-drunk college kids making out on the grass--23 years ago at that. There are a zillion photos on the internet that depict a kiss in every imaginable way that any of my readers might view and have no reaction to. But that picture was different.

So real. So evocative.

I took a series of photos the other night as I was thinking my thunks. I wasn't sure about posting them, but now I think they're a good contrast to yesterday's image.

Here's an honest depiction of your humble hostess.

The noise from the webcam makes them look almost like paintings.

Offended by a simple kiss or a bit of tongue? My goodness. To think of where I've kissed. I guess they'd label me OCD (oral cumpulsion disorder). Move over, Erin...I'll join you on the blacklist.

Thanks for the nice comments.

And everyone's opinion is welcome here. I just thought it was something how different people viewed that photo.

If you've been to my blog, you know how I feel about internet profile pictures.

I like all of your pictures, though. My wife and I had a rousing game of mattress polo yesterday and I think your smutty pic may have had some influence.

From now on every time I hear raggae I'll feel the urge to grab a young woman and kiss her. I'm probably scarred for life. These are not trifling matters O'Brien.

My only objection the photo in question is that it is not me in facelock.

It does return fond memories of the Edgewater rock concerts we usta get away with. Glass Harp taking the stage and the rainy skies clear and the sun shines, hmmm, did Phil Keaggy have an in upstairs?

It was the bare shoulder that caught my attention in yesterday's photo. Bare shoulders are always evocative.

As for today's photos, I was kind of reminded of the cover of that one Carole King album. All you need is a cat.

I loved yesterday's picture. It is the very definition of passion and bliss. That was no light hearted meaningless kiss.

In the pictures you posted today, you look sad and troubled. But you have a very malleable face, in that you can look completely different from one day to the next, one photo to the next. But I can always picture you bubbling over with laughter. You have a very lovable face....filled with passion, emotion, and love.

Hey kiddo-

I've been to busy to read any blog-type stuff until tonight. I think the name of the band in question was "Captain Crunch". I am not making this up. I was shit-faced stinkin' drunk, but I was there...

Who wouldn't like that pic?
The dude does look a little Goatish, a pre Goat warm up.

I spent about 85,000 hours in a Penn State bar called The 'Skeller where a case of Rolling Rock ponies (7 oz) was had for about 7 bucks and delivered in right in the thick cardboard case to your floorspace or table(if lucky). Openers on every 3rd beam or buy one for 75 cents.

Whoa! That was supposed to be a joke!

Uh...the way my life is going now, you frenching vel non the first string of the New York Knickerbockers in 1979 is still a concern--but it has moved to a tertiary concern on my Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs.

Maybe after I get this "food, clothing and shelter"-thing down it will move back up to its rightful place.

Your pictures should evoke more skin.

This couldn't be more off topic: Sarah Palin is on Twitter.

The only thought I had was that your hair was irritatingly close to your mouth :-) I also liked the hand. I thought it added a bit of sensuousness to it. I do that when I am feeling especially passionate.
