I'm jealous...it's not the time of year for "fresh" veggies up here. And I was always wondering what could be done about those florets - now I know. Thanks. Enjoy!

Hmm ... $3.00 organic greens ... wonder where it came from. Just curious.

Broccoli - here at school we do the same thing with the stems, but we usually use them for soup (presentation is usually the determining factor, but we use the entire vegetable - no waste).

Hey Al,

I was in central Alabama over the weekend. Some trees were starting to bud there but there's no sign of spring here in middle Tennessee. I'm guessing there are renegade bands of Hydroponic Broccoli Gardeners somewhere around Cleveland.

Nuts, renegade gardeners, irritating skeptic culinary students, would-be salad-eaters and wayward Alaskans.

We've got it all here at the Owner's Manual!

Man, don't eat that salad so close to the camera. My keyboard almost hit the ceiling!

Come on Erin, your giggle at the end of the video tells me that even you can't believe you just posted a video of you eating salad. WTF?

Ohh... I know that 1-lb bottomless tub 'o salad very well. Mine lasted... hell, I've still got some left. A week later!! It's amazing how far a pound of greens will go...
