Has anyone mentioned that the Bush Administration has raped our Constitution, and it might actually help us all to maintain our rights and see that they aren't exploited (such as wiretapping and listening in on the phone-sex conversations of our soldiers) by electing someone who is not only a Constitutional lawyer, but a Constitutional law professor as well.
It would be nice to have a president who knows, understands and values the laws of this nation, accepts the system of checks and balances, and doesn't see the presidency as some sort of imperial or dictatorial throne created solely for his benefit and the benefit of his cronies.
HoosierBoy tends to use the word "stupid" a lot on his posts here and on his Blog (ie. "don't be stupid," "you must be stupid.") So, I didn't make it through his post.
But, I will say from what I read, HosierBoy is "terribly mis-informed" if he thinks McCain has the temperament to lead.
Hello Judy -- usually the term bioy refers to a "he".
Maybe if read the website you will see I am not so hot on McCain either.
Further, I guess I will degrade myself and point out that it is 'stupid' to offer a comment on something you have not read. I am in awe of your open-minded views.
I'd like to hear why those particular traits are thought to be so valuable. As several people posting there noted: perhaps there are other, more important aspects that matter more. Clearly Bush's track record of running a company (or, did he?) hasn't exactly been what one might consider a boon to this economy. Oh, and his military experience? And just to be fair...Clinton didn't have any either. Either of them.
The list goes on and on of people who have been in that office and did not have these particular qualifications. There's just been little rational as to why those things matter. After all, evidently Kerry's military experience wasn't enough to get him elected, but Bush's was?
Calling out people for lacking qualifications that haven't been met by all sorts of people in higher office seem a bit...short on reason.
Hoosier: I am interested in this topic, and would like to hear more about your stand.
I agree with Jonas. Experience does NOT equal leadership. What Americans need, what they are hungry for, is leadership. It's either there or not and experience has nothing to do with it.

From that entry:
I bet I will hear nothing from my liberal friends...
That's because you have no comments section on that entry, hoosierboy.

Ooops... Feel free to use that one. I'm already on enough spam lists, and have no desire to be on any more.
Rory, I was able to access the comment section and I saw some others there. I am using Firefox. Maybe try opening the link with another browser?
I answered the call, too. Thanks for posting it. I hope she's inundated!

I think I may have found a spokesperson that can meet hoosiers rigorous standards. I posted this at his blog.

Can't win on the issues, attack the person. Ad Hominem argument. As old as those philosophers hoosier wants Obama to read.
Pass it on to the uninitiated you get the lynch mobs now attending McCain events.
