Finally, here come the cavalry

David Frum, a former Bush administration member, for yesterday's Washington Post:
“There are many ways to lose a presidential election. John McCain is losing in a way that threatens to take the entire Republican Party down with him. I could pile up the poll numbers here, but frankly . . . it’s too depressing. You have to go back to the Watergate era to see numbers quite so horrible for the GOP. McCain’s awful campaign is having awful consequences down the ballot. I spoke a little while ago to a senior Republican House member. ‘There is not a safe Republican seat in the country,’ he warned. ‘I don’t mean that we’re going to lose all of them. But we could lose any of them.’ In the Senate, things look, if possible, even worse.”--no Post link available without registration.

But don't worry, ye elephants! Your Girl Vice President has decided to break ranks and call in some reinforcements to help out! Here comes the "sassy" Elisabeth Hasselbeck to save the day with talk about clothing and sexism!

And in that same speech about "sexism", she said that Palin was going to bring her mop and broom to the White House, because you know she knows how to clean, you betcha!

Nothing sexist about that, is there?

You know I saw some of Hasselback's speech on Fox.

It was like watching a ditzy cheerleader perform the most degrading and humiliating cheerleading routine imaginable.

I still feel dirty (and not in a good way)...

As for McCain losing this election, I can't help but thing that the real responsibility here lies with 'Dubya'.

McCain is an OK guy but with 8 years of a Bush Presidency on his back it would have taken a miracle for him to win.

Let's put this all in perspective--$150,000 is just 38-years worth of haircuts for John Edwards.

McCain has no one to blame but himself. He hitched his wagon to Bush following the 2000 elction with one goal in mind, The Presidency. Now he's paying the price.

My apologies. I've mistakenly tapped into the alternate universe I have a subscription to.

The guilty verdict for Stevens is basically it for the McPalins. She hasn't even called for his resignation...even now, almost 24 hours after the ruling. Let's hope she becomes an obscure footnote in American politics, although something tells me we'll see her in 4 years.

I'd totally do her.
You get these conservative types in the sack and suddenly they are doing things that you didn't even know where things.

Oh I'm sorry, are we still on politics in here?

Love how the cerebral faction of GOP women is keeping mum on all this garbage...you know, the Christine Todd Whitmans, Kay Bailey Hutchinsons, et al., while the airheads, idiots, and racist warmongers like this woman in your post, keep coming out. Roaches flushed out by the light.
