Hi Erin, its funny reading this story today because today its my daugthers birthday. She turned 13, now also officially a teenager ;)

Personaly I'm sick of abortions talks, some people chose to raise a child and some dont, its everybodys own personal choice and I'm in no position to judge anybody...

Happy bday mini-Mone!

If Palin/McCain get in the White House, the personal choice you're talking about may be a thing of the past in America. I'm terrified.

Well put, Erin. And yes, you were articulate, and successful in achieving your objective in Harvey & Eck. Be your self. You do it well.

Regarding her speech last night and your topic. It's what she DIDN"T SAY that struck me. She was clearly trying to appeal to disaffected HRC voters, never mentioned prolife, abortion, etc.

I am 54 years old. I remember ERA rallies. Not a Republican woman in sight.

I have worked in health care for 25years. 7 of those years I worked with mentally retarded people who also had psychiatric illness. Getting funding for services for these people and their families was a daily struggle. If parents of special needs children really think she will be their advocate in Washington, they are delusional.

I suspect her advocacy would be akin to the Nancy Reagan drug abuse programs. Just say no.

I think Jon Stewart put it best (and I'm paraphrasing here) when he said: "[Sarah Palin]'s demanding that we all respect her daughter's choice on the one hand, while campaigning to remove that very same choice for everyone else."

Republicans just can't get over abortion. How bout running the country and not running it into the ground? There are so many larger issues out there to worry about. Crikey. I need a glass of wine.

Erin, I ended up live-blogging the entire night last night. It was outrageous: not one speaker outlined anything about fixing anything in this country. It was a lob-shit-fest at the other side. Were I to be un-decided, I'd have no idea what these bozos would actually do, if they got my vote. Other than belittle people for 4 or 8 yrs.

Palin: wrong woman, wrong message
Sarah Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with Hillary Clinton. She is Phyllis Schlafly, only younger.
