A study coming out Tuesday from scholars at Columbia, Harvard, Purdue and Michigan projects that 20 million Americans who have employment-based health insurance would lose it under the McCain plan.

I read the article--and it sounds like a dumb idea.

Nice. And what the article doesn't mention is that employees, like myself, will probably in turn ask their employer for additional pay to offset the cost of this tax. My employer will either not pay it, and lose me as an employee, or pay it, and further strain their own finances.
Didn't McCain say Obama's health care plan would hurt small businesses? How is his plan helping?

Oh damn, I was really hoping this study put out by the group mentioned in NY Times would be an unbiased comparison on the candidates' plans until I read that one of the authors critiquing Obama's plan is a volunteer adviser to the McCain Campaign. I'll continue to read anyway...
