Now read Noonan's moronic backpedal.

I just love these "hot mic" bits. YouTube is so great for the foot in mouth bit.

Why don't people just tell the truth in all their activities? If they did, it wouldn't matter whether there's a "hot mic" or not. And passion is fine too, just let it be honest passion.

Thanks for posting this EOB. I hadn't heard about it elsewhere. You are my primary source of election news, apparently!

P.S. Warren Buffett has said, and I think it's damn fine idea, something along the lines of what you ought to do as you conduct your business and live your life is imagine, each day and in each moment, that "tomorrow" whatever it is you're doing "today" will be on the front page of the Wall Street Journal "tomorrow." And so you would be far less likely to behave in a way that is embarrassing.

I thought the McCain campaign was over, but what I saw last night was so incredible: It's like a Little Leaguer went to bat facing a NY Yankees pitcher and knocked one out of the park.

Totally unexpected.

I still think Romney would have been a better pick, but this lady really stepped up to the plate.

i cannot wait to see all of these folks in live debates against one another in these next couple of months, without a screen to read off of and an audience of sheeples cheering them on...and let's hope they are made to address political issues and spell out solutions that some people are actually concerned with and interested to learn in order to make an informed decision.

I tried to watch her, but I never made it past Rudy. All the hateful speech, the booing. It was a psycho pep rally.

I did laugh when Rudy said that no one at the DNC last week even mentioned Sept. 11, 2001. Hell, that's ALL he talked about.

I also found it funny that Rudy actually has more in common with Obama on most issues than he does with McCain, but he still took swipes at him.

If Palin the rumormill is correct and she was once a Penticostal church goer, I really don't see where she's a better asset than Romney. Penticostals are the ones who handle snakes, aren't they? Magic underwear sounds safer.

i used to work in network TV and we called this stuff "backhaul" off the satellite. it's when Master Control of a network goes to commercials, then the live show puts up a wide shot of a cityscape and keeps the mics hot. Master Control then comes back and puts them on air after the breaks. we used to amuse ourselves for hours, listening to backhaul; this kind of stuff is a dime a dozen in TV. noonan let the kitty out of the bag. i love it.
