They just slayed 'em at the West Des Moines southbound I-35 on-ramp during their residency there in August of '73. That hog-truck collision in March or '74 nipped a brilliant career in the bud. what a shame...
I thought that drummer looked familiar-I think he did a couple of tours with Spinal Tap, but on his way to the studio to start recording their next album he was forced off a cliff-side by a stoner school bus driver and BBR.
Are you aware of the late Cleveland band which went by 'Amps 2 Eleven'?
I saw 'Spinal Tap' the first time at one of the ongoing film series on campus at Kent. Based on conversation both in line (It was SRO in a dank and airless room) and on exiting I estimated that there were at LEAST 15-20% of viewers who had NO idea their chain was jerked, hard. It was a pretty fuckin' funny asylum to be in the center of.
Cinema was pretty good on-campus. I saw 'Dr Strangelove' in 70MM; I believe at the time it had yet to be screened on television. 'Deep Throat' and 'The Devil in Miss Jones', screened together in the same 1,500 seat auditorium as 'Strangelove', with about 900 freshman girls whose youthful views of sex was never going to be the same, and 'Pink Flamingos' with 'Polyester'(complete with scratch-and-sniff Odorama cards) and a Q-n-A with the man himself, John Waters.
I'm glad this all came to mind. A) I'm glad I remember it all and B)It's a reminder that not ALL the money I spent their was in vain.

Got about a third of the way through. I'm glad I had never seen this before. I hope I never see it again.

This is an atrocity. Seriously.
Look, I know it was the 70's and porn staches were all the rage, but that keyboardist seriously needs to die.
The Ventures should sue these clowns for desecration.
Here's how it's supposed to be done.
Who knows? Maybe he already did die.
Are you saying you don't did my keyboard work? I did do the choreography also.
Apache!
Joe, I recognize the true talent in this important piece.
