Fellow novelist John Sheppard also happens to be from Cleveland. Furthermore, he and I both chose a rather bumpy road to publication. We had so much in common, I wrote a story about John and his hard-boiled novel Small Town Punk, which takes a rear view mirror look at growing up in the 80's.
